New Congress Dates Announced

The 20th WPA World Congress of Psychiatry has moved to
10-13 March 2021

Updated 4 June 2020

Dear friends,

The COVID-19 pandemic around the world has led to many restrictions regarding travels and the hosting of events and congresses by governments and health authorities.

In an effort to prevent spreading the virus and for the sake of event participants health and safety, we have decided to postpone the 20th WPA World Congress of Psychiatry, ‘Psychiatry in a troubled world’ in Bangkok, Thailand.  The congress will now take place on 10-13 March 2021 at the same venue, BITEC (Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre).

In order to minimize inconvenience and in anticipation of your questions we have compiled some Frequently Asked Questions below to assist you.

The WPA would like to thank all of our participants and partners for their cooperation and understanding during this time. Despite this difficult situation and the significant investment the congress represents for the WPA and its partners, we are working hard to ensure that the 20th WPA World Congress of Psychiatry, ‘Psychiatry in a troubled world’ in Bangkok, Thailand remains a success.

As we continue to analyse the different options for supporting participants and faculty through these changes, we will inform all those concerned about any developments in the organization of the event, and appreciate your continued patience and support.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Bangkok on 10 – 13 March 2021.

With warmest regards,
